Did you know that having been born in 1946, the Magic 8 Ball is now 62 yrs. old and it was originally known as "The Syco-Seer". After all this time, not much has changed, it has a more catchy name now indeed, but has managed to retained its youthful figure and original design. Even still today, young and old alike each one individual on their way to obtaining infinite knowledge and wisdom, shake it violently and manipulate the floating polyhedron to surrender an answer.
I don't know about you, but life to me is about obtaining knowledge. My experience has been a little different where finding the right answers to questions big or small, had little to do with the simple shaking of a ball. I think I would just as much prefer the company and wisdom of someone 62 yrs. old or young, to discuss their experiences with me and avoid violently shaking anyone or -thing all together. On that note, I must say in whomever's wisdom it was in creating or turning to a Magic 8 Ball to help answer life's unsurmountable and unsolved question; that it hasn't proven to be anything but entertaining, at least to me. You should try sometime, to give this to a child, play with them but then sit back to listen. Hear the questions that come from their heart, their mind rather than pay any focus on the answers they actually get from the ball, sharing with them your much trusted wisdom of course in knowing which answers are accurate or not and then reassuring them, without shaking them of course, that it is in fact, just a ball.
...any questions?
