The trip was slow and smooth we didn't get as far as we wanted but no lack of blessings here. We stopped because a light came on in the truck. I decided to retire for the night and make sure it was all ok, checking fluids, reading the owners manual, which I would encourage anyone to do with their own car now, lol, lots of interesting facts in there. I then Googled it and verified all that I understood with a call to our newly designated on the road car expert, and previous owner of the truck. We call him Uncle David and he lives in Idaho. David was funny assuring me everything was ok there as much as he knew but would wait to confirm "world peace" until after I explained to him why I was calling. For the record, my brother has been on more than his fair share of the travelers road rescue missions and is a veteran in helping me. Twice as a matter of fact, when both times, my engine blew, the first time in Montana and the second time in Kennewick, Washington. Thankfully, I have learned a thing or two since then as well. Mainly, that it takes a LONG time before you really look back and laugh. I did smile through it all though, and cried as well. I remember the second time the engine blew I had just made it to a gas station in Kennewick, WA. Calling my brother with tears of frustration and despair he asked me where I was, I told him I was at a gas station called "AM/PM". He then asked me if it was a 24 hr gas station and I said I don't know. I still laugh about that one but it all worked out.
These things always do. RIGHT! ;)
... So here we are, we got the last room in the hotel, hm, what a coincidence huh. It was a smoking room, but apparently since the weekend, no one had smoked in it. Oh and by the way, it had 4 beds. I ran up and checked it out and as I returned with the key and said "It was good", they turned away someone on the phone, hung it up and then did the same with another person that had been standing in the foyer.
Don't worry, I know what your thinking, rest assured I made sure she wasn't pregnant, with a carpenter or traveling on a donkey.
I am so thankful for the "Coincidence", the kind that follows fervent prayers and a good run of our faith! Thank you to all of you who are praying for us. I assure you that we love and miss you and did so before we even left.
FYI: The hotel portion we stayed in isn't what you see there, but this picture is from the road and is maybe another section of the hotel detached that they rent. We actually drove away from the one you see because we thought it looked like a dive, lol. The one we are in is behind there and looks clearly, less of a dive :)
LUVS!
