Sadly there are those, who, would rather be damned by justice and justification, than ask God for mercy. Which no matter how you sugar-coat it, is the true and final rejection of Jesus Christ. Rather, when we humble ourselves and seek for our needed mercy, instead of justice (for ourselves and others), MARVELOUS things begin to happen. We begin to return through action and deed, that which was given to us, by having: more patience, more mercy and more forgiveness for others. This love is unconditional it is without boundaries. It suffocates PRIDE and our "stories". The ones we tell ourselves to justify our selfishness, no plot, no reasons, no excuses, the topic becomes mute. Only then are we truly freed. Our hearts become alive, no longer past feeling but more tender. What was once hard begins to recognize what feelings of true joy and happiness are. Hardness of heart is thus remedied.
Think back to a time when you felt this before, honor the truth of that joy and acknowledge it with meekness. We have all experienced this feeling in our lives. The birth of a child, the loss of a loved one, remorse for a wrong we truly did not intend to commit. A smile, a laugh, a hug that says. I love and forgive you, as I know I need the same tender mercy in return.
But why would you do this for me?
Because I love you
But it doesn't seem fair.
That's right. It's not fair at all - it's merciful.
It is, after all, a gift.
But how can I possibly deserve such a gift?
Don't be silly. You can't. You don't. This gift
is offered because I love you and want to
help you, not because I owe it to you.
But how can I ever repay you?
There you go again. Don't you get it yet?
You can't repay me, not you or all the billions
like you. Gifts of this magnitude can never
be repaid. For what I've done out of love for you
you can only love me back, and seek to become
what I am - a giver of good gifts.
And that IS my friend, the good news!
