I took this picture while driving home. As I came to a stop, it made me think about how life is very much this way. I posted it on my blog with this thought that came to me at the time.
"It is so symbolic: of the type of life we choose to lead, whether it be conscious or subconscious, our direction, and the place we find ourself, is our choice."
This was the essence of my thoughts (yet, there are so many different legs to this idea it's confounding). In the one direction, we leave the solitude of the country, nature and a dying lifestyle of living off the land, sweat on the brow and reaping what you sow, the other, we return to the more congested urban town, the shopping malls and grocery stores, commutes and pre-packaged, processed, fast food restaurants and tacky dollar stores.
I love things that make me think!
❝The city life is not natural to us, its artificial make upleads to a spiritual disconnection. In order for us to truly connect, we must get back in touch with nature.❞

Sometimes we have to learn to turn left or right in order to move forward. It is then we can better go in the direction we desire.
