Santas 2009 Christmas Letter
This was the letter Santa left us this year. It is something we look forward to each Christmas. His letters are like a family keepsake and they are so fun reread and look back upon. Thank you Santa Claus :)
Always Live as you believe!
Dear Just Family,
Doesn't your new home look lovely. My elves tell me that they can see from a previous visit, someone worked very hard in preparation of my visit. "Thank You" ...even my home far away in North Pole, Mrs. Claus and I enjoy order and cleanliness. Mrs. Claus always reminds me how cleanliness is Godliness :)
Well children, I know this has been a challenging year for all of you. Remember challenges are a part, a "wonderful" part of our experience on earth; we all have them. And it's not "what" they are that matters, but how we meet each one that defines, molds and displays our heart and our character.
In saying that, I am reminded of our brother and Savior Jesus Christ. Do you remember his humble birth and meager circumstances. He was a great man, we know that because of his example, not because he had some grand entrance or privileged life. Recall: a stable, a manger, a star and a mother, an angel, a shepherd boy and 3 Wise Men. Later, after a lifetime of service & sacrifice, he gave the greatest of all sacrifices, his life. This, this is the "Christmas Spirit"; it is Christ. It is one way he touches those who don't even know him. Yet it is he who lives and he who loves us. He knows you and he hears your prayers, talk to him, pray to him all the time. He knows everything, he suffered and endured everything so that he could. Tell him your needs, include him and try to always be more like him. He will never leave you alone!
This is the "Christmas Spirit", it lies in you, in me and in all around. It is LOVE, it is SACRIFICE!
Have FAITH, be strong and loving in your humble circumstances. What greater gift could be offered, than the life he lived and sacrificed in the Garden of Gethsemane. It is truly the only life worth living. The one that will gain your entrance to live with your Father in Heaven and your eternal family for all "ETERNITY" once more.
Merry Christmas Jonathan, Grant, Harrison, Hettie and Sonya.
Love,
SC
P.S.
Go right ahead & keep on moving, no matter what, know that I will find you.
Yummy milk and cookies Hettie, just as you promised!
